The exact words. What Ora asks first.
Real requests from our own guides — for a classroom, a marking pile, or a research week. Each card ends with the one thing Ora needs from you before it starts.
The portal chore
On the school portal, download this week's assignment files into my School folder and list what is due.
Ora asks firstWhich folder, and which portal site — both go on the job's card before it starts. If the portal shows a sign-in, the run parks on "Waiting for you": you sign in inside Ora's browser — Ora never types your password — and it continues.
Every upload or submit stops at a card naming the exact file. A finished run leaves a receipt folder beside the files: what arrived, what was sent, and whether the portal confirmed it.
Research you can check
Research whether homework improves grades in primary school — cite every source.
Ora asks firstWhich folder the report goes in — the only place it writes. The run reads a bounded set of pages in the background; a small card shows progress with a Stop button.
Every claim in the report links to a page Ora actually fetched. What it couldn't verify is listed as unsupported instead of being cited, and conflicting numbers are listed rather than quietly resolved.
The marking pile
Tidy my Downloads folder — group the files by type.
Ora asks firstNothing moves until you approve a card naming the folder, the sort strategy, how many files move, the first ten moves as examples, and what it will leave alone and why.
It never deletes, never overwrites, never leaves the folder you picked, and never reads inside your files — names, types and dates only. Undo puts every file back where it was.
The job that repeats
Every weekday morning, check the portal for new assignments and save a note in my School folder.
Ora asks firstWhen it runs — every day or every week, a time, and days — set on the job's card before you press Start. A scheduled run follows the same approval rules as you watching.
If it needs a decision it parks and asks in its chat. If Ora was closed at the scheduled time, the miss is recorded as missed — never replayed silently as if it ran on time.
A class page
Make a single web page with a homework list I can edit and save.
Ora asks firstWhich folder to work in — the only place it writes. Build starts in Ask mode: it proposes each change and waits, and you can read every edit before approving it.
Every file the turn created, changed or renamed is recorded first, so one Undo restores the lot if the page isn't what you wanted.
The inbox
Triage my inbox and draft replies to anything that needs one.
Ora asks firstYou connect your own mailbox in Settings — a newly connected one is draft-only, so replies wait in your Drafts folder for a human to send.
You get a short digest: what's urgent, what needs a reply, what's informational. Even with sending turned on, Ora asks before every single send and names the exact recipient.
